Oru is a Chrome extension that helps you manage your own LinkedIn conversations and network. This page says what Oru keeps, why, where, and how you delete it.
What Oru keeps
- Your account: the email and name from your Google sign in, and which LinkedIn account you use Oru with.
- Your goals and settings: what you use LinkedIn for, who you want to reach, and your preferences.
- Your inbox copy: the list of your LinkedIn conversations with the latest message of each, so Oru can tell who replied and who is waiting on you.
- Conversation summaries: short notes the AI writes about each conversation (what matters, what is open, the next step).
- The brain: what Oru learns about how you work: your answers to common questions, your writing style, and which approaches get replies.
- Your network moments: who accepted your invites and who asked to connect, with their public name, headline and photo.
- Your subscription: your plan and its status. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach Oru.
Why
Only to run Oru for you: build your daily list, show you where each conversation stands, and write drafts in your voice. Oru never sends a message or an invite for you, and never uses your data for advertising.
Where it is stored
In your private Oru account, in a database in the European Union. Every record is tied to your account and kept private to it. It follows you to any computer you sign in on.
Who else touches it
Oru uses a few service providers, only for what they do for Oru:
- Supabase hosts the database and the sign in.
- Google handles sign in, if you choose it.
- Stripe handles payments and your subscription.
- Replicate runs the AI. A conversation is sent to it only to summarize it or to write your draft.
- Cloudflare hosts this website.
Oru does not sell your data and does not share it with anyone else.
Oru reads your own LinkedIn inbox and network while you use LinkedIn, at a human pace. It never marks messages as read and never sends anything by itself. Oru is an independent product and is not affiliated with LinkedIn.
Deleting your data
In Oru, open Settings, then Account, then Delete. Your account and everything Oru keeps about you are deleted, and your subscription is cancelled. Signing out also clears everything Oru keeps in your browser.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data at any time. If you are in the EU or the UK, you also have the rights the GDPR gives you, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.
